OOTD - Dressed up monochrome basics

Leather Jacket - Miss Selfridge
Quilted T Shirt - Primark
Skort - Ark (sale)
Sandals - Primark
Rings - Primark
Choker - Topshop

It was so windy while I was taking these pictures; my driveway was literally a wind tunnel so there's some pretty funny outtakes from this shoot. It's been a while since I've posted because I've been busy with work but I'm planning to catch up over the next couple of days. I bought a few things the other day because I feel like its a wasted day in town without halving my bank balance, so I'm planning to work them into the upcoming posts.

This OOTD is all about bargain basics and less is more in both the money sense and in the detail. And monochrome is timeless. Sale shopping is usually the bane of my life but these skorts were an absolute steal at £10.00 from the Ark sale. They're a really flattering length; I'm always loathed to get the tops of my thighs out so skorts are the perfect fix to hide problem areas. This is the first pair I've bought but I'm definitely on the look out for some more. I know the fanfare around quilted tops has died down somewhat now, but I still love this tshirt so much. It dresses up an outfit more than a plain white tee so I feel like this outfit would be acceptable for some posh-ish restaurant or bang some heels on and its perfect for a night out. Anyone who knows me knows I never go out without a jacket. Maybe its all the years of my Nanna drilling it into me so I don't catch a cold, but on a night out I rarely feel like an outfit's completely without a jacket, so this leather one from Miss Selfridge is probably the most important staple in my wardrobe. I'm all about doing things on the cheap where possible and I nearly cried with joy when I spotted these Birkenstock lookalikes in Primark for a fiver, which is much more acceptable to my budget than the usual £50. They're actually ridiculously comfortable too which was a surprising bonus.

Hope this new layout, new camera and new picture style is up to standard in the blogging world. I still don't really have a clue what I'm doing but I feel like I'm getting there. Trying to build my followers up as much as possible, so it would really help my life out if you like my posts and give me a follow on any social media, blogger or bloglovin' using the buttons in the side bar.
