MUST HAVE FLUFF

Jumper - Primark
Mom Jeans - Topshop
Belt - Primark
Vans - Schuh
Necklaces - Topshop

It's been sooo long since I posted. College hit me with a load of work I wasn't expecting so I've had these photos for ages and only just got around to editing and posting them. I went to Leeds a couple of weekends ago and had a bit of a haul that I couldn't afford. This jumper was one of the things I bought from Primark because I've been craving anything and everything furry, fluffy and fuzzy this season; not only because it's a huge trend but because I love textured items whatever the season. This jumper is so cuddly and warm and the colour works really well with these stone washed mom jeans. Primark's Autumn/Winter range is amazing. Their coats are incredible value and really on trend. I also picked up a fluffy black mid length coat and floppy fedora from there which I'll do a post on soon.
I really appreciate being nominated Liebstar Award and I will get on posting that and my nominees ASAP so please keep reading. Follow me on bloglovin and social media using the buttons to the right!
Thanks :)

BACK TO SCHOOL

Jacket - Vintage
Crop top - Topshop
Belt - Primark
Jeans - Topshop
Vans - Schuh

Today was a huge day for me. A massive change of direction. As I spoke about in a previous post, I've graduated with a history degree this summer, but today I went back to college to study fashion retail. Yeah I work in retail and I've had experience in the practical side of fashion.. but I've never really thought much about the processes behind shops and trends etc. The only thing I can see myself enjoying as a career is something within the fashion industry, preferably buying, and today was the first step in that direction so it's all very exciting. This outfit is what I wore today for my first day. I needed to be comfortable because I had a trek to walk to the bus stop at 7 this morning so I thought this was a decent blend of comfort and fashion. I live in Mom Jeans. They are soooo comfy and high waisted which is a fave of mine and will be forever. This crop top is kinda 90s in its thin stripe and high neck vibe and its a kinda autumny crop as its pretty thick and has a decent sleeve so I wouldn't freeze to death at that time of morning.

Hope you like this look! I'm really excited about this course; it's going to massively expand my knowledge of trends and trend prediction and things along those lines so I'm hoping I can put into practice some of the things I learn here on my blog :)

DOGTOOTH DUNGAREES

Poloneck Jumper - Ralph Lauren
Dogtooth Dungaree - Oh My Love
Belt - Primark
Chelsea Boots - Ebay

I'm spotting a trend in my wardrobe. Monochrome seems to be my thing this season. Dogtooth is taking over the shops; it's all over Topshop and River Island displays. So I've fished these dungarees out of my wardrobe.. they turned out to be a pretty good investment! I got them nearly a year ago from the Topshop store in Leeds which stocks Oh My Love. I've been waiting for it to be suitably cold enough to start wearing my substantial knitted jumper collection and this one from Ralph Lauren is perfect with this. Chunky knits are massive as well so its a match made in heaven really. I love the way it makes these silky dungarees feel more casual. The dungarees aren't that fitted and make me a bit boxy, but that's easily solved with this simple and cheap black belt from Primark.

In other news... I had my hair lightened quite substantially after shooting this! So excited to take some more pictures with my new blonde locks. Thanks for reading and please follow me on bloglovin' and the rest of social media <3

CO-ORD STYLING

Kimono - New Look
Co-ord - Ark Clothing
Boots - Topshop

I have scoured the planet for a co-ord set that suits me and finally I stumbled upon this beauty by accident at the Ark Clothing shop in Nottingham (they also have a website). It's exactly the right transitional pattern from summer to autumn.. and winter. Monochrome never fails and this is such a cute flower pattern. It's got a kinda 60s vibe which is really on trend at the minute... Twiggy-esque outfits are everywhere. It's a really flattering one too.. the top is not toooo short although it is cropped so it hides any massive dinner you've just consumed. It's also really versatile, I've already teamed the top with the pastel blue skirt I featured previously on my blog because I think it's such a waste if you can only wear them together. Are kimonos still a thing? I know it's not exactly the Great British Summertime anymore but this is black so it's acceptable. This kimono goes really well with the co-ord as it gives it a gothic edge. I felt inspired by the amazing Melonlady and her collection of kimonos to pair this together, go check her out for more inspo. Finally the boots.. chunky boots are literally everywhere at the minute. Admittedly mine are last years Topshop offering, so unfortunately there's no cleared sole to them, but any chunky boot is such a good investment as they stand the test of time and changing trends.

I've got the whole week off work so I'm gonna be posting more outfits very soon! Please give me a follow on social media and bloglovin' and feel free to comment! I'm trying to reply to the previous comments but my laptop is on it's last legs and is a law unto itself.. sometimes it decides I'm not allowed to reply but I will eventually. Thanks so much for reading

LBD

Dress - Topshop
Denim Jacket - Ark
Socks - Primark
Shoes - River Island

I'M BACK! I don't know where the time has actually gone since I last posted. I've been a bit under the weather and I went to Dublin for a few days which was amazing and I've just been really busy working awkward hours. Bare with me on the Dublin photos because I didn't take my camera out at night. I'm the most forgetful person in the world, and the unluckiest when it comes to losing expensive things, so I decided to play it safe and make do without it so there wasn't any outfit shots. I'm editing some of the ones I took during the day so I'll weave some of them into my posts and there's some on my Instagram (link in the bar to the right). Now I'm home I'm going to post all the outfits I did wear during the day and night, so here's one of them.

This denim jacket has barely been off my back since I bought it the other week. I love the distressed look and the bagginess of it. This is a size 10 so they are meant to be this baggy.. no need to get like three sizes up from your usual. It's really easy to wear and so comfy to throw over pretty much anything. I was so thankful to have this with me in Dublin.. we didn't know how to dress when we went out at night and it became apparent the Dubliners dress down A LOT compared to what I'm used to wearing to go out around Nottingham. I took this black dress from Topshop with me because you can never go wrong wearing a LBD, but I even felt too dressed up in that so this jacket was perfect to grunge everything up and tone my outfit down a bit. The only thing about this dress is you cannot eat a big meal before wearing it... nor can you drink too much beer as the beer belly is instantly on show with it being very figure hugging. But I love the way there's a cut out in the back as it adds a bit of something to what would otherwise be 'any other little black dress'. These shoes have been featured before on my blog, in the graduation post. This time I wanted to do something different with them and tone the outfit down a bit more by teaming them with some simple white frilly socks from Primark.

I've took photos of a couple more outfits today so I'm well back into the swing of blogging and will be posting again in a couple of days so please keep watching and in the mean time, click every button available down the right hand side and follow me on all the social media/bloglovin' :)

Walks in the Wilderness

Mesh top - Topshop
Joni jeans - Topshop
Vans - Schuh

I thought it was about time to showcase my best mate; this is Barney.. a Jack Russell-Shih Tzu cross. He loves being photographed so he was well chuffed to have to pose for pictures with me and even smiled. I don't think he is a dog.. he's a human trapped in a dogs body; I swear he knows every word you say. I took him for a walk yesterday after the storm had passed which, on reflection, was probably not the wisest of moves because he's so low to the ground because of his little legs; he picks up mud very easily. And it was SO windy several windy hair beards were created. He needed bathing when we got home and was also responsible for my mud splattered Vans by shaking himself at the most opportune moments. We went round Vicar Water at Clipstone as its right on my Nanna's door step and the most beautiful place with amazing views if you get high enough. I apologise for the photo heavy post but I just loved the scenery so much; especially the view of the abandoned headstocks against the storm clouds. I also have no idea what the golden hand is supposed to represent but Barney was intrigued by it so we went to have a look.

Despite it being a bit rainy and windy, it was still really hot so this outfit was perfect. I love this top from Topshop; it helps me channel my teenage goth days in a more fashionable, less terrifying way. The vest top comes attached to the mesh which is ideal when you don't want to be quite as risque. I think everyone's got a pair of Joni's. I've heard some bloggers say they go out of shape and stretch too much but I haven't had a problem with mine. I still find mine super comfy and would recommend investing. Finally, if you don't have a pair of Vans, go and buy some now. They are slightly expensive I guess, but so so easy to wear and comfortable (when you wear them in). I feel like they look better with more things than converse... Converse can majorly dress down an outfit which is fine, but Vans still keep an edge to anything you wear them with and now they make so many amazing ones you can't go wrong.

I really like doing these lifestyle type blog posts... it's more fun to photography things other than yourself so I think i'll start doing more of them. Please follow me on any social media and Bloglovin' using the buttons in the righthand bar! I've just added my instagram feed to my blog so please check that out too! Thanks for reading :)

OOTD : Cultural day out wearing bargain basics

Dress - Warehouse (Sale)
Socks - Primark
Shoes - Primark (see previous post)
Jacket - Primark
Bag - Vintage

Today I had a rare Sunday off work so me and my boyfriend decided to trek it to Lincoln for the day; plus he owed me a meal out as a graduation present. It's the cutest little city with cobbled streets and an amazing cathedral which was very Hogwarts-esque in certain light. Warning to those thinking of going here though... no form of heel is advisable. My ankle nearly snapped tiptoeing over the cobbles several times. But it's well worth a visit if you're anywhere near, there's some really cute vintage shops and tearooms which make a change from most city centres round here.

My camera shy boyfriend and I did a bit of a photoshoot in a nearby park for an outfit post. As the title of this post suggests, this outfit is a massive budget one... becoming quite a theme with my blog at the mo. But I actually think it's quite deceiving and looks pretty expensive. This silk-ish bommer jacket from primark is such a favourite of mine and perfect for summer because it's not too heavy but, like today when it kept going a bit cloudy, helps keep out some of the chill. I love the pattern too as it seems quite tasteful for Primark. The dress I got last week at Meadowhall in the Warehouse sale for £15 and it's so versatile. I've already worn it on a night out with some heels and dressed it down today with the jacket and bag. It's so comfy as it's really light and loose, however probably not ideal on a windy day as knicker flashing is probable with it being baggy. I like the fact that, despite it being baggy, the waist line and pleats still give it shape and make it flattering. The socks and sandals combo has become a regular occurrence since the last post.. for details on that one see the Pastel post I did a few days ago.

Thanks for following and reading! got some more posts and days out planned soon so keep watching :)
